Biography
Joel A. Stein is a partner with the Norwell firm, The Law Office of Mitchell and Stein. He is a graduate of New York University and Boston University Law School. He served as President of REBA in 1994 and served on the Board from 1989 to 2018 where he received the Johnson Award for service to the Real Estate Bar. He has authored chapters on Title Examination for three different MCLE publications and has been a member of the Abstract Club for thirty years.

Biography
Kenneth A. Mitchell Jr. is a partner at the Law Office of Mitchell and Stein. His practice centers on real estate matters, including title services, title insurance, and Land Court practice. He represents national title insurance companies, renewable energy developers, landowners and law firms throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Kenneth is engaged by lawyers and title insurance underwriters, to conduct title examinations, title certifications and title insurance policies for both complex commercial matters and residential transactions. He is often engaged as a title consultant for transactions or litigation regarding land and title issues. His practice also includes commercial escrow and settlement services. Kenneth is approved by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Land Court, as a title examiner for tax, registration, and subsequent cases – “Land Court Examiner.”
While in law school Kenneth served as a legal intern in Boston, where he assisted in the preparation and presentation of trials and evidentiary motions, and observed arraignments and court proceedings. He was also a Supreme Judicial Court Rule 3:03 Student Prosecutor at the Quincy District Court and was on the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Quincy, where he represented clients in all phases of criminal litigation. In addition, he worked as a real estate title examiner in Suffolk County Registry of Deeds.
Kenneth received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, and a B.S. in Accounting and Finance, from Bridgewater State University, where he served as Secretary of the Accounting and Finance Club. Kenneth is a member of several REBA committees and subgroups including Title Insurance & National Affairs Section, Standards and Forms and Land Court Advisory Committee.
